Mike Hanley is a major character in the story Jacinta.
Early Life
Mike was born in 1968 in Brighton on the south coast of England. It is unknown whether he has any siblings. In the early 1990s, Mike fell in love with and married a woman named Amelia, with whom he had one child, a boy named Jason. However, tragedy would strike in early 2002 when Amelia was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She passed away in June that year, leaving Mike to raise his six year old son by himself.
When a Son Becomes a Daughter
Shortly after Jason finished secondary school in 2012, he announced to his father that he was gay. Mike took the announcement in his stride, and unconditionally accepted his son. Little did Mike know that Jason was harbouring another, deeper secret.
